1. Collection and Use of Personal Information

We adhere to principles of legality, fairness, necessity, and integrity when collecting and using your Personal Information for the purposes below.

1.1 Overview of Personal Information Collection and Use

The core functionality of AI Tom Bud is human-machine interactive dialogue. To provide additional services such as device binding, device management, usage statistics, and dialogue summaries, we require basic Personal Information necessary for these functionalities, unless otherwise mandated by laws or regulations. If you refuse to provide such information, we may be unable to deliver the corresponding services. Note: If you provide another individual’s Personal Information, ensure you have obtained their consent; otherwise, you assume liability for any consequences.

1.1.1 Registration/Login

To comply with legal requirements and provide registration/login services, you must provide a mobile number or email address. We will send a verification code to confirm your identity. If you decline to provide this information, we may be unable to offer AI interactive dialogue and other functionalities. Apple ID and Google Account login options are also available. When using these methods, you must bind a mobile number or email for identity verification.

1.1.2 Device Binding

To bind the application to a hardware device, we may request permissions for location, Bluetooth, camera, and WLAN access. During the device network configuration and binding process, we collect your current Wi-Fi network information (including SSID, i.e., network name, and BSSID, i.e., network identifier) to help the smart hardware device connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone in order to complete device network configuration and binding. We also collect:

Wi-Fi status, location data (to retrieve Wi-Fi networks), Wi-Fi network details, device connection status, hardware/device models, operating system, and IP address.

This information is uploaded to our servers to prevent unauthorized access and enhance security. You may unbind devices via the "Unbind" feature.

1.1.3 Device Management

After binding a device, you can manage functionalities (e.g., renaming devices, authorizing music features) through the application. Your settings and data are uploaded to our servers for device control.

1.1.4 Interactive Dialogue

We use generative AI models to provide chat and interaction services. When using the chat function, we automatically receive and record audio inputs (e.g., voice conversations, recordings) to deliver intelligent responses.

For weather inquiries, we use approximate location data to provide localized weather updates.

Under applicable laws, we may de-identify/anonymize contextual interaction data to avoid identifying individuals, ensuring privacy while improving service quality and user experience.

If your inputs include others’ Personal Information, ensure you have obtained their consent to prevent unauthorized disclosure.

1.1.5 Usage Statistics and Summaries

To ensure service security and quality, we record your interaction times, chat logs (including inputs, system responses, and derived dialogue themes) and display them as bar charts or summaries in the app.

1.1.6 Operations and Security

To maintain secure and efficient operations, we collect:

Log data (user ID, request timestamps), usage details (client/server timestamps, device type, network info), device info (model), and network data (connection type, status, quality, Wi-Fi network name SSID, Wi-Fi network identifier BSSID).

This data assists in troubleshooting service anomalies.
